A TIMELY LAUNCH FOR WILDCOAST’S NEW BILINGUAL WEBSITE
Reflecting WiLDCOAST’s unique style, the new website offers intuitive engaging solutions to promoting the organization’s unique conservation efforts to a global audience.
Imperial Beach, CA – Nov 1, 2010 – Since its inception in 2000, WiLDCOAST has demonstrated its relevance more than ever by being strategic, smart, passionate and relentless about the need to conserve coastal and marine ecosystems and wildlife. A new redefined online presence was critical to growing conservation efforts while keeping today's savvy web surfers connected and engaged.
WiLDCOAST President Serge Dedina says, “Access to timely, quality information is becoming more important for conservation efforts. WiLDCOAST depends on donors, volunteers, the media and community at large for support. Their needs are vital to us and this website reflects our commitment to keeping them current with relevant newsworthy information that can support our efforts and goals.”
The initial investment to produce a new bilingual English/Spanish site using Web 2.0 technologies will more cost efficiently deliver WiLDCOAST’s message to a broader audience in the long-term. Additionally, the new site will be used as a tool and resource for employees via a complete content management system (CMS) for easy updates to all content. An RSS feed, social media tags and links to 3rd party services are also embedded allowing easy sharing and potential viral distribution of content. “The launch of our new website marks a new direction for WiLDCOAST – one that will reinforce our position as a rich source of information for members of the media.” says WiLDCOAST Communication Director, Fay Crevoshay.
Another innovation to the site allows visitors to create individual profiles indicating specific topics of interest for communications and specialized website content. User profiles will be securely saved as an easy secure way to make donations, register to volunteer at events.
