Diane Castañeda

Communications Coordinator

Diane manages all of WILDCOAST's communication channels such as social media, e-newsletters, website, blog post, etc. She is responsible for keeping you up to date on what WILDCOAST is doing with compelling stories and images. Diane received a Bachelors Degree in Communications from San Diego State University. She received a certification in Public Relations and event planning from the Universidad IBERO Americana and she is a Certified Interpretive Guide by the National Association for Interpretation. Diane has also volunteered in olive ridley sea turtle monitoring at the Centro Mexicano de la Tortuga in Oaxaca, Mexico. 

When Diane is not spreading conservation awareness, she is planning where her next trip will be. Diane’s love for travel motivates her to go to at least one new place every year with her husband and daughter. Diane grew up in Playas de Tijuana (Tijuana Beach) and says that living near the ocean inspired her strong passion to help protect our oceans.
